2021 IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Highlights

Feedback from last year’s 2020 Caregiver Experience Survey directly informed the pillar-specific initiatives to improve caregiver experience throughout 2021, including addressing burnout. As we enter the 2021 Caregiver Experience Survey cycle, our Caregiver Experience Committee, whose representatives come from across all IS & RESO functions, wanted to share a summary of their efforts in the past year.

2021 IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Highlights

  • Caregiver Experience Committee meets monthly to connect, advise, and engage. Focus for 2021 has been on collaboration and best practice sharing.
  • RESO representatives joined in 2021 and brought new perspectives and expertise to the committee. Total membership grew from 21 (2020) to 38 (2021).
  • A support team for the Caregiver Experience Committee meets monthly to strategize ways of enabling committee members and pillars with caregiver experience.
  • EVP/CIO B.J. Moore’s Fireside Chats continued throughout 2021.
  • The Journeys in Leadership recording series launched with Doug Lewis, SVP of IS Administrative Technology and executive sponsor of the Caregiver Experience Committee, interviewing peers across IS & RESO.
  • The Caregiver Experience Committee sponsored burnout research, which helped inform the new Leading Through Burnout system resource.
  • IS & RESO participated in burnout focus groups to gain deeper understanding about why burnout is happening at an organizational level.
