‘Journeys in Leadership’ Sits Down with RESO Leaders, Alex and Glenda

In February, Doug Lewis, GVP of IS Adminstrative Technology and an exec sponsor of our IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Committee, sat down and spoke with two leaders in RESO about their journey to leadership, their heartbreaks, their heroes, and their hopes.

Doug’s conversation with Alex Herr, VP of Washington/Montana RESO and interim lead for facility operations & construction, highlighted Alex’s views on servant leadership, leading through compassion, and granting grace to people.

Doug’s conversation with Glenda Fossum-Smith, exec. director of RESO communications/Mission director for RESO and Oregon Shared Services, highlighted the importance of understanding who you are and what is important to you, being on a constant learning journey, and always remembering the humanity of the person in front of you during your interactions. Glenda is also Doug’s co-executive sponsor of the IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Committee.

There are some great nuggets to be gleaned from both conversations, so please take a few moments and view these 20-25-minute interviews.
