The Seattle CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards program honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Winners in the Global, Healthcare, Large Enterprise, Enterprise, Large Corporate, and Corporate categories.
Winning for the Healthcare category, B.J. was honored with other winners from prestigious Seattle-area companies, such as Starbucks, Nordstrom, and Zillow Group.
The field was highly-competitive and all of IS can feel very proud of their contributions to raising the profile and esteem the tech sector holds for Providence.
B.J. shared a bit about the success of IS and our progress:

Providence was the first hospital system in the U.S. to treat a COVID-19 patient and the innovative mindset prepared us for the pandemic. My team worked closely with the clinical team during the pandemic for vaccine distribution as well.
