A little over two and half years ago, PHS IS started a program to onboard new IS caregivers. This program was targeted at providing all IS caregivers and managers the information they need to be successful in their roles, that may not come out of the standard HR-led new caregiver orientation (NEO/NCO).
IS Administrative & Management Services Operations held October feedback meetings to review current orientation materials with core leaders and learn what onboarding optimizations they wanted to see and align to our PSJH IS needs. Additionally, the IS Caregiver Engagement Committee has made first-year onboarding and new caregiver experience a priority of their 2018-2019 work and participated in the shaping of these updated resources, which will continue to evolve through 2019.
Check out the updated orientation materials to help core leaders onboard our new caregivers on the new IS Onboarding site (requires network login), including:
- IS Orientation Schedule
- IS Orientation Presentation Material
- IS Caregiver Onboarding Checklist
- “Getting started” helpful links and resources
New caregivers will automatically receive an invite within two months of starting employment, however we are making the Orientation open to all existing IS caregivers, as a refresher opportunity. If you or another existing caregiver on your team would like to join, contact Koleen Kelley, exec. assistant, for an invitation.
