One Year, and SO MUCH progress!

This month marks my one-year anniversary as CIO at PSJH and leading this incredible IS team. It’s been a great ride so far!

When I look at this month’s IS Update and see all the progress we’re making around Modern Workplace, and improving our security with multiple roll-outs and being able to enforce policies we’ve long needed, I am very proud of our organization. The amount of necessary modernization and rationalization we’ve driven in a short time is incredible and I know the pace has been challenging.

An exciting note on the impact of Microsoft Teams… Now that we’ve hit approximately the 90,000-caregiver mark for our installed base, we share in this newsletter how we’re preparing for our transition away from traditional desk phones for Shared Services caregivers, to Teams Calling. We’ve also hosted our fourth large-scale Microsoft Excitement Day with on-site training for our knowledge workers. The Modern Workplace is becoming a reality that is being understood and embraced by more and more of our caregivers, and they’re continuing to see how these solutions will ease their way.

We have truly made progress in delivering on the vision of simplifying, modernizing, and innovating.

As announced a few days ago, we have made the decision to extend the Epic and Genesis deployment timelines by three to six months. This will allow us to ensure that across the system we have the right level of business process definition and that we do the upfront work that is needed to land these critical changes smoothly.

I look forward to talking about all this and more when we gather tomorrow morning for IS Open Forum.

Thanks for all you do!
