2021 Caregiver Experience Survey and Appreciation All Around

IS & RESO caregivers,

Today, our 2021 Caregiver Experience Survey opens. As we navigate the challenges and disruption of the past year and a half, I appreciate this organization’s steadfastness in supporting our caregivers across the system, our communities, and our Mission. Your feedback focuses our efforts on what are the most impactful things we can do to make you feel inspired, empowered, connected, supported, and valued. Please take the time to respond to the survey.

My leadership team and I recently had the chance to review the great work of our Caregiver Experience Committee and the actions functional pillars have been doing to address caregiver feedback. This includes the pillar-specific initiatives, burnout focus groups and executive engagement such as the Fireside Chats with system leadership. Just a couple weeks ago, I recorded our ninth Fireside Chat with Sister Susanne Hartung where we discussed the impact of the vital day-to-day work we all do contributes to our Mission. I encourage you to check it out!

October is a special month within RESO because we honor two very critical functions with special celebratory appreciation weeks—first, Security, then later in the month, Facilities Engineering. On behalf of Providence leadership, I want to thank Security for your work through this challenging past year, ensuring the physical security of our ministries and keeping our caregivers safe. The hard work you do every day to support our Mission is noticed and appreciated. And to our Facilities Engineering teams, I want to recognize your tremendous service in keeping our facilities running smoothly through this challenging past year. You support our Mission by getting the highest performance out of our built infrastructure during a period where our environments of care have been stretched and are highly valued partners to our regions and ministries.

Big kudos to all IS teams involved in the successful NorCal go-live of Epic and standard clinical applications, and now are turning their attention to Texas for March 2022.

I look forward to our time together during Open Forum on October 20, hope you enjoy a good start to Fall, and a strong final quarter of 2021. Thanks for your feedback and all you do to support our Mission.
