As the EVP of the combined IS & RESO organization, I’m excited about some of the initial ways we are coming together.
As we continue to identify areas where our goals intersect — modernizing our workplace, environmental stewardship, security, growth and affiliations, among others — we will be uncovering more opportunities to partner and augment our combined impact. Much of what is needed for this to happen is for us to get to know each other better, what the different parts of our org are working on and who are the leaders driving it. As part of that, on February 10, I will be joining John Milne, M.D, at the monthly RESO Extended Huddle. That will give me a good chance to hear from core leaders across the many functional areas John’s diverse org, from the real estate strategy, architecture, and engineering sides, to the environmental services and patient transport sides. I want much of that hour with RESO core leaders to be their questions for me.
Several initial ways we’re already beginning to come together as a combined IS & RESO organization include:
- Our shared Mission leadership and support led by Sister Susanne Hartung and her team of regional Mission integration leads
- Representatives of RESO joining our combined IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Committee to improve engagement and caregiver experience
- Shared communications, including this monthly IS & RESO Update newsletter, as well as our Open Forum live events
- Collaboration between RESO Clinical Engineering (CE) and IS Strategic Technology Enablement on building an aligned and modernized service delivery model, in partnering with EY to align the BioMed/CE work of RESO with the technology expertise of IS
- February 24 deep dive session with leaders of IS and RESO to share with each other in detail what each is working on and how we operate
Finally, we’ll be having our next Open Forum on Wednesday, February 17. It will be a great opportunity to hear about some exciting work sustainability, supportive housing, our IS-driven Modern Workplace efforts, and our strategic priorities as a combined org.
Please keep masking up, taking advantage of opportunities to get vaccinated when offered, and stay safe. Thanks for all your efforts already underway in this productive 2021.
