Mission Integration Program Enriching Caregivers Across IS

This month, our IS Caregiver Engagement Committee shares another tool for supporting the caregiver experience within our teams.

In Q4 of 2019, Sister Susanne, Chief Mission Integration Officer for Shared Services, asked the IS executive team if they would support the wide adoption of the Mission Integration Program across our organization.

The Mission Integration Program is intended to enrich every caregiver in Providence’s foundation. The program is composed of sessions that require pre-reading and preparation by the facilitator, who helps lead in-depth discussions around each topic. Each caregiver’s traditions and perspectives provide further layers of rich discussion.

Topics include the Providence culture, heritage, and the principles of Catholic health care. In addition to teambuilding, the Mission Integration Program helps enhance spiritual growth and knowledge about Providence for caregiversMission Integration is always an ongoing process for development and growth for all “People of Providence.”

One IS team that has embraced the Mission Integration Program offering has been the Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications (CRCA) team led by SVP Tabitha Lieberman. The team began offering the program in January 2020. Tabitha has shared the Teacher – Leaner model with Sister Susanne, and now caregivers in additional IS teams have begun to look at that same model and adapt it to their needs.
