Starting with King County Mission Integration Director Tracy Brown’s feature highlighting IS caregiver service at Renton’s Mother Joseph Farm, we kicked off a series of articles that will introduce each of our new regional Mission Directors supporting IS with a reflection and a profile of IS caregivers in service for each region. February’s IS Mission focus is all about recognizing and appreciating the contributions of IS caregivers.

Our “Because iCARE”-themed efforts for the month include light breakfasts across regions and enhancements to the IS recognition program, with new tiers for those who have received high numbers of kudos via SuccessFactors.

Sharing Coziness for Hospitalized Kids and Those in Need

For December, our IS Mission focus is on providing pajamas for hospitalized children. It’s a comfier, more home-like alternative to hospital gowns.

Some locations are also coordinating stocking (socks) drives to provide cozy socks on the feet of homeless community members in shelters or being reached on the streets.
