The IS Business & Consulting Services team has created a new Open Requisition (hiring) Report to support our core leaders. Optimizing Our IS Intake Processes

Did you know IS fields over 1,200 requests for projects every year and then has to gain discernment/approval across about a half-dozen governance councils with various standards for decision-making? Then, as you probably are more aware, once approval occurs, our projects go through a complex series of hand-offs and 50+ intake activities, taking at least three to six months for intake to be formally completed.

B.J. and our leaders have heard loud and clear from both IS caregivers and our partners across the enterprise that we need to optimize the complex and inconsistent intake process for our technology projects.

> Click into the article headline or graphic to check out what our IS PPMO has learned from its recent “sensing sessions” and the priority areas and approaches for improving intake of projects for the benefit of our IS caregivers and our PSJH partners.

Congratulations on our Swedish/PacMed Epic Go-Live!

Our weekend go-live with the Swedish/PacMed Epic upgrade to our aligned instance/collaborative build of PSJH Epic has been a great success so far and marks a major milestone in our IS strategic journey. Our IS caregivers, including the clinical informatics “surge support” deployed from other regions, have gone above and beyond, given we have had some higher than expected volumes. This is the largest go-live we have ever done and there is not a single part of IS not engaged in the effort in some way.

As Tabitha Lieberman, SVP of Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications shared in her Saturday “morning after go-live” message: “Of all the mountains you have climbed I know this one has felt like the tallest in many ways. Swedish, Pac Med and the majority of the community sites using the Swedish instance of Epic have now converted to the PSJH instance… We have a lot of climbing to do over the next few weeks, but please take a moment to appreciate getting to this point.”

“A HUGE congratulations and thank you for this weekend!” she reiterated today.

Core application teams, clinical informatics, and ministry partners are receiving regular, daily updates from the Command Center, but it has gone smoothly so far. We’ll provide a more comprehensive Day 5 update in tomorrow’s June 20 all-IS Update.
