A Busy and Eventful Summer

I hope everyone is having a good summer and staying cool in these high temperatures.

Thank you to everyone who joined IS & RESO Open Forum on July 13 – over 1,800 of our combined IS & RESO team, once again!

Last month we celebrated the very important milestone of going live with Genesis. I am proud to say that, except for a few minor issues which are always expected in a deployment of this magnitude, implementation has been very stable. I know the teams continue to work very hard and I want to say thanks again and congratulations for such a huge achievement.

As I am sure you have all seen, there is a lot happening across Providence at this time. We, as well as other health systems nationally, continue to be challenged by significant headwinds that have resulted in unprecedented net operating losses. This has required us leaders across the system to take a hard look at all the different ways in which we can position ourselves to recover and emerge even stronger . . .
