Single Sign-On Transition from Okta to Azure

In mid-August, we shared the interim security approach of enabling multi-factor authentication to our Okta single sign-on (SSO) solution for web applications, while at the same time, previewing that web application access would transition by December from Okta to Azure. This Azure-based approach supports a more streamlined web access experience for our caregivers, better cybersecurity, and our embrace of our more integrated Microsoft Modern Workplace platform strategy.

New Streamlined Intake Process Starts This Week

2019 Caregiver Engagement Survey Opens This Week

Adam Dial, SVP of Community Technologies and Exec Champion for IS Caregiver Engagement reminds us that the annual PSJH-wide Caregiver Engagement Survey for 2019 opens tomorrow. You will receive an email from PSJH’s independent survey vendor, Willis Towers Watson, with a unique link to take the survey. Please save that email until you’ve had the 10-15 minutes it takes to complete it. We have until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, to provide our feedback.

New Subject Line Call-Out Identifies External Emails

The Modern Workplace/Digital Workforce team has added an email security feature that aims to help our caregivers better identify external emails that require us to take added precautions for preventing the type of phishing that bad actors can attempt via email. Starting today, all incoming messages sent from external, non-PSJH senders to our PSJH email accounts will display added information in the subject line, indicating that they are from external senders.

Epic Lab and IS Laboratory Applications Teams Honored with Q3 CFO Award

The Epic Lab and IS Laboratory Applications teams were honored with the Q3 2019 CFO Award for Excellence for their terrific efforts driving our application rationalization project, and their work to fix massive backlogs, improve customer satisfaction, and establish trust in Epic and Cerner. As part of their honor, they received a team celebration for their accomplishments, as well as some well-deserved extra personal time off. Congratulations!
