Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications Org Changes

Building upon organizational changes to the Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications team announced back in June, Tabitha Lieberman and her leadership have announced additional changes focused on the clinical apps side of her organization to continue improving service delivery.

This change is a bit larger than the June change, but supports the current clinical group alignment, as well as having the Lieberman org teams work together increasingly across application lines.

Ron Healy, MD, Awarded Alaska’s Birch Award

IS Clinical Informatics Executive Director for Alaska Region, Ron Healy, MD, MS, was awarded Providence Alaska Medical Center’s Birch Award. The award was presented to Ron on behalf of Ella Goss, the PAMC chief executive, at the Oct. 21 Anchorage general medical staff meeting.

This regional award honors credentialed medical providers on the PAMC campus who exemplify our core values and Mission, and demonstrate excellence every day. His nomination came from other members of the medical staff and we couldn’t be more proud. Congratulations, Ron!

IS Welcomes Murali Krishna as SVP of Providence Global Center, Hyderabad

On our Tuesday, October 8 IS Open Forum, CIO B.J. Moore announced that Murali Krishna Koganti will lead our capacity-building Providence Global Center in Hyderabad, India.

Murali will officially join us on November 4, 2019.

He comes to PSJH from Microsoft and brings 20+ years of engineering and operations experience guiding global IT integration both there and at GE.

CMIO Dr. Marino Interviewed by Becker’s on EHR Insights

Becker’s Hospital Review recently chatted with Clinical Informatics & IS Strategic Partners SVP and PSJH CMIO Dr. Michael Marino.

In the late-September interview, he shares insights from his long career in medicine and working with electronic health record systems. While checklists that drive a standard of care for certain high-risk conditions can be powerful, excessive customization of EHR systems should be minimized, he advises.

Project Management Certification Workshops for King County-Area Caregivers

Ivette de Rubens, GVP of the IS Strategy and Project Management Office, shared a professional development opportunity with IS caregivers in Renton and Seattle’s Bank of America office locations.

Due to historical involvement of IS PPMO caregivers with the Puget Sound chapter of the PMI (Project Management Institute), they are looking to once again hold their weekend certification classes in our Renton office this fall.

Oracle ERP Heats Up with New Project/Solution Name and Video

As we’ve shared, the Oracle ERP Cloud is our new digital business platform that will eventually support business processes and bring data together across PSJH Human Resources, Finance and Resource, Engineering & Hospitality Group (formerly Supply Chain). It will also will ease the way of our caregivers by making processes as day-to-day as looking up a pay stub far simpler.

The IS Enterprise Business Applications team under the leadership of GVP Frances Chao has been hard at work with Oracle and these partners laying the ground work and programmatic plan for the implementation.
