Genesis Go-Live Extended to January 2022

As GVP of Enterprise Business Applications, Frances Chao, shared on Tuesday’s IS Open Forum, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) go-live – known as Project Genesis – has been extended by six months, due to COVID-19.

Our system’s focus is on providing immediate relief to current operations and caregiver priorities, and the need to free up up financial resources for crisis response and recovery efforts. This delay supports that direction and also provides greater flexibility to prioritize when and how we engage our team resources, while the immediate focus will be on IS-driven activities.

Rich Perspective from Providence Archive on 1918 Pandemic

As we shared during our IS Open Forum reflection on May 5, the historical archives of how the 1918 pandemic impacted Providence ministries over a century ago provide us with a perspective of another difficult crisis. Incredible Progress During Uncertain Times

Thank you to all who joined our Tuesday morning IS Open Forum. We had another impressive turn-out and some great questions, with over 1,800 joining us online, including some of our Hyderabad-based caregivers, who joined during their evening hours. Appreciate your commitment to staying engaged.

As I shared, our Board of Directors and executive sponsors have been very appreciative of the support IS has provided the system through the COVID crisis, including our support of remote work, cybersecurity, Teams collaboration, and partnering with Telehealth. Much of this work that we accelerated in this time of urgency gives us durable muscle, with modernizations and optimizations that will serve both IS and our caregivers well into the future.

The next few months are going to be critical, as we pivot to recovery as a health system, while navigating macro-economic and revenue challenges…
