In June, Information Services began disabling any Active Directory (AD) account on the providence.org network domain not used in the last 90 days. Disabling inactive accounts has been PSJH policy, but will now be more strictly enforced.

IS Tech Bars, the walk-up locations where caregivers can meet a technician in-person are relaunching at select locations between August and October 2020. The Tech Bar relaunch plan includes updated processes and procedures, including standard services provided, dedicated staff, and consistent operating hours.

Rick Stover, CTO and SVP, IS Technology, Engineering & Operations (TEO) announced on June 12 a realignment for caregivers supporting Active Directory services, who will now transition over to IS Information Security under CISO/SVP Adam Zoller.

We have decided to extend the “pause” of new requirements and project requests to IS for the remainder of 2020. We are also in the process of restructuring the intake processes for the long term.
The new intake process went live on July 1, 2020, and the current ideas and demands process will be transitioned.

On Tuesday, July 7, during our IS Open Forum, CIO B.J. Moore and our IS executive team covered a range of topics and Q&A with over 1,700 caregivers who attended. Our next session will be held on August 11, so look for an invite from B.J. in the coming days.

Caregivers can now manage their network password with Self-Service Password Reset through the Access Portal (access.providence.org), powered by our Azure Security profiles. Contacting the IS Service Desk will no longer be needed for assistance with resets.
