Let’s Not Forget to Spend Some Fun Time Together

It’s hard to believe that summer is racing by and we’re already more than half-way through the summer of what’s been a very eventful, demanding, and—let’s face it—strange year!

The executive leadership team and I wanted to make sure that even though we’ve been working remotely for months now, that we not let the tradition of gathering together as an IS team fall by the wayside. This year, we’re using our Modern Workplace tools to try a virtual summer social format that replaces the regional barbeques we usually host and send many of our leaders out to visit.

ServiceNow Team Transitions into the IS Strategic Technology Enablement Org

On July 16, 2020, CIO B.J. Moore announced that ServiceNow will transition to become part of the Strategic Technology Enablement organization led by GVP Chris Briggs. This organizational change will take effect August 16.

A new VP will also be joining IS to lead support service engineering across IS and establish a Service Management Office.

Please Complete Inventory Assessment for Remote Workers by Aug. 6

As we continue to explore options around a more virtual workforce, we are conducting a short inventory assessment to evaluate current technology and equipment use of caregivers working remotely. This assessment was emailed on July 23 by IS to all Shared Services caregivers, caregivers whose primary work location is an administrative office, and those with remote access privileges.

Telecom Support Transitions to Combined EUS and Outsourced Managed Service Model

On July 27, 2020, PSJH transitioned to a managed service model for telecom support tickets. While basic hands-on telecom tasks will continue to be supported by EUS Desktop (formerly FTS), some of the more technical back-end tasks are now supported by our vendor partner, Cerium. Cerium is a long-term vendor partner of both Providence and legacy St. Joseph Health, and has supported IS since 2004.
