Microsoft Project Online will replace ServiceNow for IS project management, resource management and timekeeping, starting January 3, 2021. The Project Online team, steered by the Project Management Center of Excellence, will be preparing the production environment during the month of December, so the next four weeks can be preparation time for the transition.

Congratulations to Donnie Smith, Manager, Environmental Services & Laundry, Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, Burbank, and Cheryl Montgomery, Environmental Services Technician, Providence Tarzana Medical Center. Both received our highest system honor for living our Providence Values in their hard work. All of Environmental Services has truly shined in their critical roles keeping our facilities sanitary during the pandemic.

The 2020 virtual Hackathon we told you about this summer was a great success. Organized by the Providence Digital Innovation Group (DIG), for the first time, this year’s September 15-21 event had participants from within IS and our Providence Global Center (PGC).

On October 12, 2020, it was announced publicly that Community Technologies, part of Information Services until last April when it became a standalone organization, would become a part of the newly-formed commercial company named Tegria.

Thank you to the over 1,800 IS & RESO caregivers who joined us a week ago Tuesday, Dec. 1, for Open Forum. We shared what we could about COVID-19 vaccine progress, initial Caregiver Experience Survey 2020 results, an overview of our two new, main IS SharePoint portals, as well as updates on cybersecurity and Modern Workplace.

As always, I enjoyed being on the IS & RESO Open Forum this past Monday morning with so many of you – we had over 1,800 join.
As I said on the call, whatever side of the political spectrum you are on, we did have some great victories at the ballot box that supported our vision of Health for a Better World. If you haven’t seen it, I encourage you to review Rod Hochman’s memo about these positive examples of our advocacy efforts paying off.
