Edenjoy Camalig is the night supervisor for Environmental Services at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. Her team is responsible for cleaning hospital rooms after patients discharge and cleaning the operating rooms. The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard for Edenjoy and her family, but getting vaccinated has brought her hope for the future.

Partnership Between TEO and RESO Provides Standardization and Cleans Up IDF Closets

IS TEO (Technology Engineering and Operations) and RESO (Real Estate Strategy and Operations) partnered to kick off a project related to intermediate distribution frame (IDF) closets in our facilities. The goal of this project is to create a system standard for management of IDF space to include technical requirements, space use, maintenance agreements, power supply, ownership, and regulatory compliance. The project team objective is to deliver a plan for audit, clean-up, and ongoing management.

We had over 1,800 IS & RESO caregivers join our Wednesday, March 24 Open Forum, during which B.J. and IS & RESO executives covered a wide variety of timely topics. We heard the latest clinical and system perspective on COVID-19, an update from B.J., an update from Sister Susanne Hartung welcoming several of new regional Mission leads, as well as new Eastern Washington and Snohomish County Mission Ambassador programs, and heard the latest on IS & RESO’s collaboration around the Clinical Engineering service model and Genesis ERP.

Moving Lawson Data to Azure

IS Healthcare Intelligence (HI) is migrating our Lawson databases from the PHS Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to the Azure Cloud. We are in the process of testing the migration.
