Tools for Mitigating Burnout

Many teams across IS & RESO are focused on tackling the challenge of burnout, which has seen year-over-year increases across Providence, exacerbated by COVID-19. As part of our efforts to address Caregiver Experience Survey feedback around burnout on our teams, the IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Committee (CEC) have gathered support materials to stimulate conversation around how to mitigate burnout.

Microsoft 365 Groups are Here

IS OneTeam is pleased to announce our transition from traditional Microsoft Outlook distribution lists (DLs) to Microsoft 365 Groups. Microsoft 365 Groups work with the Microsoft 365 tools you already use, so you can collaborate with caregivers across multiple applications. Groups are also an easy way to send emails. All Office 365 licensed caregivers can now create and manage their own 365 Groups without opening a service ticket.

Transitions and the Biggest Month Yet for Epic

Thank you to all who joined our IS & RESO Open Forum last Thursday. During the Forum, I shared the news about the departure of John Milne, M.D., as SVP of RESO. A nationwide executive search is underway for a permanent executive leader of the Real Estate function for Providence. Andrew Haslam, VP of Real Estate, is taking over interim RESO leadership duties. We appreciate John’s leadership and contributions during the past years.

On Thursday, we also discussed the COVID-19 crisis in India. Our thoughts, prayers and support go to our PGC caregivers, as they look after their own safety and the health of their family and friends during this difficult time. We will continue to closely monitor the situation.

I want to again acknowledge the hard and groundbreaking work led by our IS Clinical Applications & Revenue Cycle team as they prepare for the history-making go-live of Epic for Orange County/High Desert (OCHD) on May 15. We look forward to sharing news of our go-live success and the early wins from moving to a single electronic health record . . .
