The June IS & RESO Hybrid Open Forum from Anaheim was a packed house and included several important project updates.
Thank you to everyone who joined our June 19 IS & RESO Hybrid Open Forum from Anaheim, CA. The first floor of the Heritage building was bustling with activity including the Open Forum, socials, hygiene kit assembly, team meetings, lunch, and listening sessions with BJ.
Over 200 people gathered in person, another 100 gathered via watch parties, and 1,500+ joined virtually from across our regions.
June Open Forum Highlights
- Janae Osby, sr. engineer product manager, HI, and SoCal black caregiver resource group co-chair, provided the reflection honoring Juneteenth.
- BJ’s EVP/CIO update included:

- Great progress on SoCal construction
- Six Oregon ministries are experiencing nurse strike activity, we’re proud of our participation to alleviate some of the stress
- Chris Briggs, GVP, Clinical Technology Services (CTS), acknowledged the tragic loss of a beloved team member, Josh Paine, sr. biomedical technician in Eastern WA
- Summer of Human Connections activities were shared, find details on the IS & RESO Hub.
- The day’s Mission Activity was assembling hygiene kits for the LA Food Bank.
- June caregiver milestones:
- 45 years – Megan Clark-Davis, sr. applications analyst, Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications (CRCA)
- 40 years – Rondal Ginther, linen representatives, Provident Portland Medical Center
- 30-year retirement – Nick Scott, sr. clinical informatics specialist, Clinical Informatics (CI)
- All 5 year – 50-year milestones are published on the IS & RESO Hub quarterly.
- Mike Denney, SVP, Real Estate Strategy & Operations (RESO), shared progress on PMO strategy.
- Alex Herr, chief real estate officer, south division, provided an update on Mission Hospital/Mission Health Center Project.
- Dr. Deborah Unger, physician medical director, and Lindsay Mico, EVP, Enterprise Data Science, shared our efforts to create an AI-powered empathy tool that teaches clinical care givers how to have tough conversations with patients.
- Mike King, VP, Network, and Kellie Larkin, AVP, Service Engineering, presented our SD-WAN strategy, joined by a clinical voice, Sarah Skeel, chief administrative officer in Alaska where, our pilot implementation took place.
- Vanessa Torres, chief human resources officer (CHRO), shared our new, simplified onboarding process and timeline.
