Dear RESO,
As I’m sure you’re aware, February is Black History Month. The origins of Black History Month date back to 1926 and it is now celebrated during the month of February. This month was chosen due to its significance as the birth month of Frederick Douglas, a former slave and abolitionist leader, and U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, who was a critical force in the emancipation of slaves. It is a time where the United States honors the contributions and sacrifices made by African Americans who have been instrumental in shaping our nation.
In celebration of Black History Month, Providence has created the below series of virtual backgrounds that you can download. There are available here on the Providence BrandHub:
I also want to share some updates from my trip to California last week. It was a productive visit and I had the opportunity to check on the status of ongoing projects and tour the Mission Viejo, St. Jude and St. Jospeh of Orange Ministries with Alex Herr, RESO VP, South Division and Rachel Jenner, ED, Planning & Design. Witnessing the progress on our project at Mission and touring all three hospitals with our RESO teams was inspiring and I’m so impressed with the dedication and service our teams deliver for these communities.
Thank you for everything you do to make RESO a positive force at Providence. I’m proud of the ways RESO supports our Mission and appreciate our momentum as we work towards a sustainable and successful future for Providence.
