Recognizing RESO Excellence & Caregiver Experience – November 7, 2023

Thank you for the ongoing support of RESO Excellence in this newsletter.  We would like to the trial of an expansion of information we are gathering.

The 2022 RESO annual Caregiver Experience Survey, indicated that 55% of our Caregivers acknowledged significant action had been taken as a result of previous surveys. We would like to increase the sentiment. In response, we would like to expand the RESO Easy Button to include an Employee Experience option.

If an individual selects the Employee Experience path in the survey, they will be promoted to questions and free text areas where one might share experience as a Providence RESO caregiver.  The collected responses will be considered by RESO leadership for continual improvement and sharing successes across RESO.

RESO Excellence remains your opportunity to acknowledge your peers for displaying our Core Value of Excellence. Every RESO Update, these nominations will be shared across the organization.

Christopher Burnett, senior security officer – Providence Alaska Medical Center – Anchorage, Alaska

Zachary Hughes, security officer – Providence Alaska Medical Center – Anchorage, Alaska

When the PAMC security office received a call from out-of-town family worried that a family member was self-harming in one of our parking areas both Officers Chris Burnett and Zach Hughes began an immediate search. Officers Burnett and Hughes started looking for a man slumped over a wheel within approximately 5000 parking slots in 6 separate parking lots. While conducting their systematic search they received additional information on the man’s vehicle and immediately were able to locate it in our northern parking lot. Upon approaching the vehicle Officers Burnett and Hughes were able to identify the man and interact with him while EMS was contacted. While waiting for EMS they were able to convince the man to exit the vehicle and seek medical help. Just as the man exited the vehicle EMS arrived and took over care of the individual. ~ Andrew Meyer – security supervisor
