Thank you for the ongoing support of RESO Excellence in this newsletter. We would like to the trial of an expansion of information we are gathering.
The 2022 RESO annual Caregiver Experience Survey, indicated that 55% of our Caregivers acknowledged significant action had been taken as a result of previous surveys. We would like to increase the sentiment. In response, we would like to expand the RESO Easy Button to include an Employee Experience option.
If an individual selects the Employee Experience path in the survey, they will be promoted to questions and free text areas where one might share experience as a Providence RESO caregiver. The collected responses will be considered by RESO leadership for continual improvement and sharing successes across RESO.
RESO Excellence remains your opportunity to acknowledge your peers for displaying our Core Value of Excellence. Every RESO Update, these nominations will be shared across the organization.

Nathan Lewis, associate business intelligence analyst – Enterprise Information Services – Renton, Washington
Nathan has a drive to understand the needs of the departments he supports beyond just what they know how to ask for. He probes for what’s underlying the ask to help get at the “Why” and tries to make any initiative he takes on applicable to as broad an audience within RESO as possible. This is the epitome of what an organization this size needs to help identify and drive best practices, an intuition for making those practices accessible to all. It’s a pleasure to work with him and see the immense value he’s able to bring to our operations. ~ Mike Stine – facilities manager

I want to express my gratitude to the Oregon RESO team as I retire after 22 years of working with the best people, I’ve had the honor to know. Together we have built an amazing group of highly motivated, caring, skilled, and loving colleges. I’m looking forward to watching this great group of talented people face the and accomplish the challenges of our 2030 carbon negative agenda. ~ Willy (William) Heston
John Coetzee, evs technician – Providence Seaside Hospital – Seaside, Oregon
John displays excellence in cleaning his assigned area thoroughly – others take notice of his efforts. On his one-year anniversary the Med/Surg staff honored him with a diploma and perfect attendance award from University of Providence/Med Surg: He received a doctorate in Slick surface governance, Doctorate in nursing staff cluster defuddlement? and Hawkeye surveillance, for finding every stray hair. They honored John with a lovely cake, and on the cake plate they wrote little messages to him. John not only does a great job in his cleaning. Recently John assisted a CNA, with a patient who started to seize and was able to hold on to them while seizing, until they could be safely lowered to a wheelchair. This is just one example of many times John has assisted with a difficult patient situation. Thank you, John, for having an awareness of your surroundings, and keeping our patients and caregivers safe. ~ Kathy Isom – evs manager
