Dear RESO team,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to touch base with everyone and provide an update on what we’re working on as an organization. First and foremost, as we enter the performance evaluation season, I want to be sure your hard work and dedication is recognized, and we will use this opportunity to celebrate your achievements and identify the things we need to focus on in 2023. I am pleased to report that we are finalizing our annual goals, making sure they are aligned at the system and local levels. We want to set goals that are meaningful and achievable for everyone, without having so many goals that caregivers aren’t able to focus on the most important things this year. The final cascaded goals will be completed shortly, which will allow everyone to have their 2022 review and 2023 goal-setting meetings ahead of the deadline on March 3rd.
I also wanted to take a moment to highlight BJ’s recent culture offsite. It was a great opportunity for us to come together as an executive team and reflect on our progress and think ahead. We have many tactical challenges, but it’s critical that we continue to focus on the culture that makes Providence great. There will be more communication about this soon, but I want to make sure you know that we are focused on maintaining and improving our culture so that Providence continues to be a great place to work.
In addition to these efforts, I want to share my passion for philanthropy and how important it is that we include our Foundations in our culture of giving. The amount you may contribute is less important to me than the idea that we all give something and create a passion for supporting our Foundations. I encourage you to read my message to caregivers about the Providence National Foundation. Our Foundations, both nationally and locally, support so many programs that have an enormous impact on our communities and patients. Many thanks to those of you who already contribute for your generosity and leadership.
Finally, I wanted to take a moment to recognize and applaud the excellent work that is being done by the councils throughout the organization. As we move forward, these councils are already working on standardizing processes to simplify our work and documenting best practices so that local teams can benefit from the lessons learned from other local teams and not have to create solutions to challenges faced at every Ministry. We will have more information out soon to describe some of the specific work these councils are completing and I’m grateful for the amount of time being dedicated to this important effort.
Thank you for all that you do and for bringing your best to Providence!
