Operational Success Profile: Providence Regional Medical Center Everett EVS

In this biweekly RESO Update newsletter, we would like to feature profiles of Operational Success and improvements. If you have a “win” that you’d like to share, please share it with Marnie Boomer, exec. director, Operational Excellence.

This submission is from Luis Romo, manager, EVS at PRMCE:

I would like to share with you the work that the EVS teams at PRMCE were proud to accomplish this past week.

  1. On November 8, 2022, our ED was holding about 24 inpatient boarders and the goal was to decompress the ED. EVS was well-staffed and organized for the task, and we were able to accomplish an exceptional result of 86 discharge cleans and 47 transfer cleans, equating to 133 discharge cleans with a 1-hour, 26-minute turn time.
  2. We had “0” missed daily cleans under the pressure of discharges and transfer clean requests.
  3. Our Press-Ganey Scores for Courtesy of Person Cleaning Room improved by 9 percent.
  4. The ATP infection prevention quality metric scores at Colby campus achieved 86 percent.

We would like to express our appreciation on behalf of RESO to all of the EVS, technicians, leads, EVS clerical, and EVS supervisors for their productivity efforts in accomplishing our weekly metric goals and providing a clean environment for our patients. I’m very honored and privileged to work along with a department that supports the Mission.
