New Clinical Technology Services Leadership Model

The work of Strategic Technology Enablement (STE) to build out a new Clinical Technology Services (CTS) regional leadership model is complete. CTS is set to be the IS team with a continuous physical presence at all our ministries providing IS services to our clinicians and caregivers. We will also be partnering closely with the new Clinical Solution Delivery & Informatics team, led by Ivette de Rubens, as well as the engineering teams across IS to deliver services and projects.

Jim Mills has accepted the position of Vice President of Physical IT and Clinical Engineering Operations. In this role, Jim will lead our ministry-based End User Services (EUS) and Clinical Engineering teams across the enterprise. Jim brings a depth of experience in Healthcare Technology across a number of different provider organizations. Most recently, Jim led the Clinical Technology Services (CTS) teams in Northern California.

Also, here are the new CTS Regional IT and Clinical Engineering Operations Executive Directors who will lead this work in the regions moving forward:

  • Kerry Miles is the CTS Regional IT and Clinical Engineering Operations Executive Director for AK

We’re excited to be taking this step forward as we continue to evolve our service delivery model. The new operating model will further enable a more connected clinical experience for patients and caregivers, remove roadblocks from the work you all do every day, and align us better with operations across the enterprise.

In the coming weeks, we will be working to update our CTS rhythm of business to incorporate engagement activities that the former IS Strategic Partner group participated in locally. Our goal is to ensure continuity of operations, build a strong connection to the central IT team through improved processes, relationships, and tools, and accelerate our journey as we evolve to a service provider to the central IT teams.
