Recognizing RESO Excellence – November 1, 2022

November 1, 2022

The following caregivers were recognized for displaying our Core Value of Excellence:

Karla Brown, certified nursing assistant– Holy Family Hospital – Spokane, Washington

Carla is an awesome worker with a great attitude even while working understaffed. She works hard to ensure the patients are receiving great care. ~ James Johnson – environmental services technician

Deb Magnum, housekeeping supervisor – Holy Family Hospital – Spokane, Washington

Deb has worked hard to ensure the hospital is clean for patients and staff. She worked extra hours and her days off to make sure this happens. ~ James Johnson – environmental services technician

James Barr, security manager – Texas/New Mexico Region

James was recently recognized as a 2021 President’s Club Leader. These leaders earned results on the 2021 Caregiver Engagement Survey for their Leadership and CG Engagement that placed them among the top Leaders in the national database! The TX/NM region was originally going to honor these winners with a reception, but this wasn’t able to happen due to extenuating circumstances, so these top performers were honored individually in their departments. Great work James, let’s do it again in 2022. ~ Michael Siwek – executive director, RESO, TX/NM region

Terry Allen, carpenter – St. Vincent Medical Center

The schedule for implementation of the Massimo pulse ox conversion at St Vincent was moved up by a month, leaving us with little time to prepare for the infrastructure changes needed to support the new monitors. Terry rallied resources and coordinated with departments to get hundreds of wall mount channels replaced in order to keep the project on schedule and allow the new monitors to be installed at a usable height for all caregivers. ~ Andy Mason – director, facilities

Amy Erickson, evs supervisor – Providence Everett Medical Center Colby Campus – Everett, Washington

I wanted to recognize Amy for being so responsive and helpful. There were couple things that I needed her help on and she was so responsive. She was going to stop what she was doing to come right over and help us. There was a task that needed to be done and it dragged on for over a week when I consulted with another leader from your department. But as soon as I spoke with Amy, she got it done immediately. A caregiver transferred from your department to mine, and she even said how amazing Amy is as a leader. How lucky we are to have her work here! With much gratitude. ~ Elizabeth Hankins – Manager, Patient Access
