Genesis Planned Quarterly Downtime and Supply Chain Go-Lives

Quarterly Downtime

Genesis had its first planned quarterly downtime on September 16–17. The downtime was for maintenance only; no new functionality was added. The next quarterly release is planned for December 2022.

Supply Chain Go-Lives

When Genesis launched in July, all areas went live with the new HR and Finance functionality, as well as limited functionality for Resource, Engineering and Hospitality (supply chain): capital/project requisitions and processing/approvals for non-purchase order invoices. System shared services and a few hospitals in the Puget Sound region of Washington state also went live with full supply chain functionality.

For all other areas, including regional shared services, full supply chain functionality will now go live in five waves to help minimize impacts to patient care and operations. REH updated the schedule to make sure each area has enough time to be fully ready to order supplies and services in Genesis. Education and other important information leading up to each deployment wave will be shared in core leader and caregiver newsletters.
