This is an email that BJ shared to IS & RESO caregivers on August 8, 2022.
IS & RESO caregivers,
It’s with great sadness to let you know that Craig Arnold, our SVP of Real Estate Strategy & Operations, passed away over the weekend. (Our original announcement from when he joined Providence provides an overview of his impressive career.)
When I visited Craig and his family toward the end of July, Craig shared that he found his calling and purpose here at Providence. He loved the Mission, the people, the culture, and the impact he was able to make here in such a short time. Sharing the memo that was sent to RESO core leaders from interim SVP, Mike Denney, including grief management resources for caregivers.

God bless Craig – truly an exceptional man, leader, and exactly the person that exemplifies the Providence family. RESO organization, please know you have our support during this difficult time and please make use of any of the support resources you may need.
Thank you.

RESO core leaders,
With a heavy heart, I’m sharing the news that Craig Arnold has passed away.
Craig had a profound impact on Providence and all of us over the short time we had with him. I know he felt blessed to be part of the Providence family and to lead our team. Craig asked that there be no memorial service, but he did make a request that can be found on this site: http://craigarnold.weebly.com. (* If trying to access from your work laptop and blocked by the Providence cybersecurity firewall, please paste it into the browser of your phone or personal computer.)
I hope you’ll take the opportunity to visit the site and follow through on his request.
BJ will have a message to the broader IS & RESO team soon, but I want to make sure that all of you know how important the RESO team was to Craig and how much he valued each of us. In our last conversations, Craig was consistently focused on the team and the work we are doing to make Providence the best we can be. Craig was inspired by our Mission and culture, as well as the impact we can have on Providence and our communities. He asked that we all take the time to appreciate the opportunities we have.
Craig’s wife, Nathalie, still sees his texts and is reading them with their family. If you send her a note, I know she will appreciate it.
If you want to talk, please feel free to reach out to me or any of the resources available to us to manage grief. Those resources can be found here:

This is heartbreaking news, but I know we will get through it together as we mourn an amazing man.-Mike
