The Endpoint Privilege Management program has started for IS and RESO. This program ensures caregivers have the appropriate level of administrative rights over their Windows 10 computers. 2,350 IS users have already been brought onto the program. In August, approximately another 5,000 caregivers will join the program. In the coming months all remaining IS and RESO caregivers with Windows 10 computers will be added to the program in a series of waves. Windows 11 and Mac computers are not included in this program right now.
Currently, caregivers typically either have no local administrative rights or full rights to change settings or install software and devices. This new program is designed to offer a seamless, non-disruptive process for granting temporary, limited administrative rights only when those specific rights are needed. This will help prevent accidental caregiver errors which might expose Providence data, information, or systems to external threats.
What is changing?
You will notice this orange icon in your Windows system tray:
When you need administrative rights on your Windows 10 computer, please follow the message prompts from Endpoint Privilege Management.
What do I need to do?
There is no action needed from you. You may receive popup notifications with Beyond Trust and Providence branding, which should be accepted.
