The Windows 11 “pilot” program for IS caregivers is ending on May 13, but IS caregivers can continue to be part of the self-service Windows 11 Early Adopter Program.
To join the voluntary Windows 11 Early Adopter Program, IS caregivers can submit a request. The caregiver’s devices will then be verified to ensure they meet the Windows 11 minimum requirements. If they do, the automated install will be initiated, and update instructions will be provided. Issues will no longer be tracked through the Windows 11 Pilot Issues Log after May 13. Caregivers should report issues by contacting the AskIT Service Desk at (844)-92-AskIT / (844) 922-7548 to open an incident and have the incident assigned to the Endpoint Service Management group.
Currently, there are more than 290 IS caregivers that have upgraded to Windows 11. These caregivers have helped the Endpoint Service Management group identify and track Windows-11-related issues.Â
As with any new software deployment, the goal is to provide the best caregiver experience. If functionality issues prevent the caregiver from performing their duties, a rollback to Windows 10 option will be available.
