The Hopes and Aspirations document calls to us to “reflect often and deeply on this Mission so it may become a source of inspiration and strength for you and all who participate in the work of Providence.” There are many ways that our caregivers can personally identify with the Mission and values and celebrate our heritage.
Mission Formation
In addition to our Mission Integration Program (MIP), there are new programs created to renew and inspire each of as we continue our Providence journey.
1. We are the Mission – inspire, renew and reconnect sessions
In order to remain faithful to the Mission and steadfast in serving our communities, we need time to pause, reflect and check in with ourselves. We are the Mission is a 50-minute conversation that inspires, renews, and reconnects caregivers with each other, the deeper meaning of Providence, and the work we do each day.
Go to the events calendar and add one of the upcoming sessions to your Outlook calendar:
- Monday, May 9, 12:00 p.m. PT
- Friday, May 13, 8:00 a.m. PT
- Monday, May 23, 1:00 p.m. PT
- Tuesday, June 7, 12:00 p.m. PT
- Tuesday, June 14, 8:00 a.m. PT
- Wednesday, June 29, 12:00 a.m. PT
- Wednesday, July 13, 12:00 p.m. PT
- Wednesday, July 20, 8:00 a.m. PT
2. Mission-centered orientation sessions
These sessions are focused on enhancing the orientation experience for our new caregiver and engaging them in conversations about who we are, where we are going, and how we will act along the way. New caregivers will receive an invitation from Mission leadership to participate in these important sessions at approximately 30, 60, and 90 days into their journey.
Serving our communities
Supporting our communities through service projects continues to be encouraged. There are a number of Mission Ambassadors Programs across our organization serving a wide variety of community needs.
For those caregivers where there is not a Mission Ambassador Program or the service opportunities do not fill their individual needs, the Action Hub is another resource for finding a service project.
Values in Action
The Values in Action Award is the highest award given out within Providence and provides a pathway to not only express gratitude, but to recommend a caregiver for going above and beyond. Each year caregivers are invited to recognize fellow caregivers for exemplifying our Core Values: Compassion, Excellence, Dignity, Justice, and Integrity.
Daily Reflections
Reflections are a sacred treasure at Providence and caregivers can find daily reflections on SharePoint and InOurCircle for inspiration and grounding.
