A Time for Hope and Renewal

Appreciate all 1,800+ who joined our March 28 IS & RESO Open Forum. As always, it was great to share some recognition and updates from across our teams and take your questions.

It was also great to join other Providence representatives at HIMSS22 in Orlando a few weeks back and to share the stage with our Microsoft and Nuance partners and other technology leaders in health care. It is exciting to discuss the way technology is improving the experience and outcomes of patients and the workloads and processes of our caregivers, and I always am proud to be representing Providence as such an industry leader in technology.

I want to extend great appreciation and praise for the day-in/day-out heroics of our linen and laundry caregivers within RESO. We’ll be using the last full week of April, which is National Laundry & Linen Week, to celebrate these teams supporting our ministries and providing clean and comfortable experiences for our patients.

Spring is a time of renewal. At Providence, it is inspiring to see the many ways across the system we are working to get back on-track with our volumes, recover from the impacts of COVID, and keep steadfast in supporting the health of our communities. I appreciate everybody’s focus on stewardship and recovery efforts. I have no doubt we will come out of this period stronger and even better-equipped to tackle any challenge.

There is a lot of uncertainty and conflict in the world today, as Sister Susanne shared in her reflection with us, but also many reasons for hope. I wish everyone, including those celebrating Easter later this month or Ramadan throughout this month, to enjoy their time with family and friends, and feel a sense of renewal, peace, and hope.

Thanks for all you do.
