Providence Medical Group Primary Care and Urgent Care Midtown Clinics
To better serve the Anchorage community’s health care needs, Providence Medical Group opened a new primary care clinic in Midtown Anchorage. The clinic is co-located with Providence’s first urgent care clinic in Alaska, and also offers rehabilitative therapy services in a new therapy gym.
Washington
Providence Regional Medical Center – EP Lab Room 308 Renovation Project
The renovation of existing space in support of new electrophysiology laboratory expansion is now finished. The team overcame several project challenges such as unforeseen lead times of materials and equipment and labor shortages. The project was built in a new hybrid, or within the confines, of a high-volume acute care facility during multiple COVID surges.
Providence Regional Medical Center – Everett – Second CT Scanner in the Emergency Department
Having the second CT scanner will ease the way of Imaging caregivers by giving them closer proximity to patients and will decrease the strain previously placed on the single scanner. The new scanner closely mirrors the other machines at PRMCE (one in the ED and three in the Imaging department), so the functions and exam capabilities are identical to other rooms.

Chino Hills Medical Office Building
The construction of the three-story medical office building is nearing completion. It will include two floors of Heritage clinic, urgent care, Resolut Imaging joint venture with MRI, CT, Xray, mammo, and Dexa. Imaging went live on January 17; the first floor of the Heritage clinic opened on February 1.
Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro and Torrance
The medical center received ENERGY STAR certifications. The certification demonstrates a commitment to reducing energy waste and protecting our environment.
Texas
Covenant Medical Center (Lubbock, Texas) – Hope Tower Project
The final steel beam of Hope Tower is now in place. Caregivers and community members signed the beam with their prayers, verses, and well-wishes for the future of the hospital. When completed in Q2 2023, the tower will have six floors, totaling 236,600 square feet.
Covenant Children’s Hospital (Lubbock, Texas) – New Front Facade Project
The hospital has three structures built during the last 54 years (1968, 1975, 1985). Black slate was a decorative feature to the building. Due to age and environment, the black slate has begun to loosen in the last few years.
When completed in Q3 2022, the slate will be replaced with multi-colored EIFS panels to more align with a Children’s hospital theme. Some windows will be replaced in the oldest part of the building.
Oregon
Providence Portland Medical Center – Chilled Water Plant Upgrades
Currently completing final commissioning, the Chilled Water Plant will increase campus chilled water capacity and allow future expansion of additional shelled floor space. The project included a new 1200 Ton Daikin Mag-Bearing Chiller, new 1450 Ton Evapco Cooling Tower, expansion of rooftop Cooling Tower structure and enclosure, and new condenser water pumps and hoistway for maintenance to serve the facility. The installation of a modular (for redundancy) Climacool Process Chiller was also included to serve our dedicated process loop in the tunnel level of the facility serving our imaging suite equipment.
