Eastern Washington Caregivers Support YWCA Women’s Shelter and Families

IS & RESO caregivers in Eastern Washington are partnering with other Providence Shared Services caregivers to support the Spokane YWCA’s in services for those living with domestic violence by providing safe shelter, counseling, education and much more.

Their goal is to provide some in-person volunteer opportunities later this year, but a gift card donation campaign was a way to get involved and support them quickly.

How can you help today?

You can purchase gift cards that will be given to YWCA shelter events to help in a variety of ways. Here are some suggestions:

  • Amazon, Walmart, Target or Fred Meyers: Any denominations are welcome and fill so many needs.
  • Walgreens: A $15 gift card is great for prescriptions or OTC medications like prenatal vitamins.
  • Safeway: $25 gas cards are huge help.
  • Domino’s: All denominations welcome – with $150, their shelter can have a pizza night for all of their clients.
  • Quick Lube: Cards for oil changes are so helpful.
  • Auto parts stores: Can help with windshield wipers, taillight bulbs, batteries, etc.
  • Pet stores: Their shelter is pet-friendly and keeps supplies on-hand for our furry friends.
  • Fast food outlets: A $10-$15 card is a great birthday gift for our kiddos!
