The Providence Enterprise Shared Services Mission Integration team led by Sister Susanne Hartung has recently welcomed two [or three] regional leads for Eastern Washington/Montana and Oregon.
Eastern Washington/Montana
Kellie Durgan has been a Registered Nurse with Providence Health Care for nearly 25 years. She spent 20 years at Providence Holy Family Hospital as a bedside nurse in outpatient surgery, a charge nurse in the PACU, and a nurse manager of the perioperative departments. For the past five years, she worked to develop and implement an Advance Care Planning program for Providence in Eastern Washington, collaborating with our palliative care team and statewide partners. In October of 2020, she accepted the position of Chief Mission Officer for Providence Holy Family Hospital, Providence St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Medical Center and INHS, and Shared Services caregivers in Spokane. She has bachelor’s degrees in communications and nursing, is pursuing a master’s in organizational leadership. She feels very lucky to be able to serve our IS & RESO caregivers in this way.
Oregon
Glenda Fossum-Smith, exec. director, RESO management services, will now take on a part-time role as director of Mission integration for Oregon Shared Services, which of course includes IS & RESO. Many of you are familiar with Glenda, who has served Providence ministries in Oregon for over 30 years. She began her career with Providence Portland Medical Center in outpatient mental health, then transitioned into multiple leadership roles in the Real Estate department. Her current focus is on caregiver experience and communications. Ensuring our Mission and values guide caregivers in their daily work is at the core of her work. Glenda joins the Enterprise Shared Services Mission Division and will report to Sister Susanne Hartung, Chief Mission Integration Officer, while maintaining her reporting to John Milne, M.D., for the RESO management services/communications part of her role.
