It was great to connect with IS & RESO on another Open Forum last week on December 1, with 1,800+ caregivers from across regions.
In addition to our cybersecurity, Modern Workplace updates, and intern introductions, we gave a brief update from our executive team on the preparations underway across the system to support the complex logistics of distributing what will be limited early supplies by state to our frontline, patient-facing caregivers.
Thank you for your questions, many which were around the vaccine. My executive team has worked to address all your questions from Open Forum or direct you to some good resources for more information.
I know there are many unknowns. Although IS & RESO partner closely with Clinical Operations, I want to keep referring us to the regular updates received in our caregiver and core leaders newsletters and updates, as well as some helpful system guidance to bookmark as the situation evolves over the coming weeks.

I also want to thank our IS organization, led by the Administrative Technology team, for partnering with Clinical Operations to rapidly build and pilot our Azure-based Validate and Verify (VAV) tool. This form and database will be essential for helping our clinical caregivers confirm and update their role, work location, and contact info, as well as to share a self-assessment of their risk level, and share their interest and preferences around receiving the vaccine when it becomes available in their area and for their level of exposure risk. I appreciate all those in IS who helped us test the tool on Friday and Monday as we worked out the bugs.
Whether it’s the development of the VAV tool, the coordination and response across teams to the current surge, or all the work RESO supports as we prepare for the facility-level and refrigeration logistics of vaccine, IS & RESO will be just as essential to this next phases as we’ve been to helping the system adapt throughout this crisis.
I look forward to connecting with IS & RESO on tomorrow’s virtual Christmas Party. Please try to join us and stay connected with our broader team when we get these opportunities.
I can tell you that I’m getting into the Christmas spirit, but I’ll save my holiday wishes for you and your families for a special message we have planned for next week.
Thank you for all you do, and please stay safe and healthy.
