Community Technologies Becomes Part of Tegria

On October 12, 2020, it was announced publicly that Community Technologies, part of Information Services until last April when it became a standalone organization, would become a part of the newly-formed commercial company named Tegria.

Over the past six months, the organizations that spun off to become part of this new company, launched by and for Providence, had been known as “Enterprises.”

Tegria’s goal is to accelerate the momentum of technological, clinical, and operational advances necessary to deliver on Providence’s vision of health for a better world.

The broader non-Providence community will now get to benefit from the services each of Tegria’s nine operating companies, organized within three focus areas:

  • Healthcare consulting and technology services, also called Tegria Services Group (TSG) and formally known as Providence Services Group (PSG). Community Technologies falls within TSG.
  • Revenue cycle management solutions
  • Software technology and platforms

With plans to follow Providence’s vision of health for a better world, Tegria is being founded on a vision of positive change — for Providence, for the healthcare industry, and for our communities’ health. Tegria’s purpose is to serve others in the industry, and to support and extend the Providence Mission, providing a diversified source of revenue to help fund Providence’s core Mission-related work of serving those in need. This allows Providence to increase its safety net reserves, focus on its core caregiving work, and continue to support poor and vulnerable communities.
