The End User Services (EUS) Desktop team is launching Smart Hands, a new service offering that enables IS caregivers to utilize the EUS Desktop technicians as “smart” hands to resolve on-site tasks that require a local presence on behalf of remote caregivers.
This new offering was created in order to meet the growing need for on-site tasks to be completed for teams without a local presence, and the End User Services teams are uniquely positioned to do this. By offering Smart Hands as a defined service, we ensure the needs of the business will continue to be met, align with the strategic goals of the organization, and keep staff where they are needed most.
Smart Hands is now available to all IS caregivers to request local assistance in resolving a break/fix incident or submit a request for the following types of tasks:
- Device installation, removal, and replacement
- Power cycle a device
- Toggle a switch, press a button
- Check and reset cables
- Confirm a serial number or printed details
- Connectivity testing and validation
- Supervise vendor activities
- Pre-scheduled event support
- Perform simple steps at the instruction of a remote technician
- Gather details and report back
