The Providence St. Joseph Health Community Technologies team has a big, exciting announcement. Samaritan Healthcare has just signed the Epic Connect contract and will be joining the Epic Connect family of clients. This bring our total of Epic Connect clients to 61, which includes 46 clinics and 15 hospitals.
Samaritan Healthcare is a multifaceted healthcare organization located in Moses Lake, Washington. Organized as Grant County Public Hospital District No. 1 in 1947, Samaritan is committed to improving the health and well-being of the people of the Columbia Basin. The hospital has 47 beds, 238 hospital staff and 20 clinic providers.
Alex Town, CFO for Samaritan Healthcare, said, “After conducting an extensive RFP process, Samaritan Healthcare signed an agreement with Providence St. Joseph Health for Community Technologies, a single, comprehensive and secure electronic health record system. It was very clear to the Samaritan administration that Providence has a proven track record deploying Epic and the required integrated third party software at a very cost-effective rate. In addition, Samaritan recognized that Providence’s Community Technologies is Epic accredited and committed to making this program part of their strategic plan. Finally, Providence was very responsive throughout this process giving every indication that will be the case moving forward.”
The Samaritan Health go-live is planned for April 2020.
