Active Directory Migration of SJH Kicks Off, Setting Stage for Epic

As a pre-requisite step for Epic deployment, we are beginning a multi-phase transition of St. Joseph Health caregivers from their current SJH domain to the new ad.providence domain.

This transition will happen in waves, beginning March 23, with a pilot for Southern California Shared Services caregivers currently on the legacy SJH domain. Once migrated, these caregivers will use their existing computer/network login and password to log into workstations and applications as they do today. The domain change will not alter the way caregivers currently log onto/into computers/laptops at their normal location.

What will change for migrated SJH caregivers:

  • Initial logon to applications through Azure to use Office 365 (O365), OneDrive and/or ServiceNow, etc.
Caregivers who currently access applications with ComputerLogin@stjoe.org will now login with ComputerLogin@providence.org.
  • PSJH-supported mobile devices (smartphones & tablets)
No action is required – Logins are handled through Microsoft Authenication.
  • New logon screen wallpaper will be appear on all workstations (PCs, laptops, EasyPass devices) after the migration

What won’t change for migrated SJH caregivers:

  • Receiving/sending e-mail to their stjoe.org e-mail address will not change
  • Computer logins and passwords will not change
  • Access to AD-authenticated applications will not change
  • Contacting the PSJH IS Service Desk will not change
