[Updated: Jan. 9., 2020.]
As IS helps Providence St. Joseph Health transition to Microsoft Azure and the cloud, we’re ensuring our caregivers have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and get certified. New winter course offerings are now available on-site at various PSJH locations, as well as virtually, and include Azure Fundamentals and role-based courses. We also want to share important information on the Azure Fundamentals certification exam.
Available courses
See the full course list and/or to register. Please check with your manager to ensure that you are signing up for an appropriate class for your role.
Note: Priority for course enrollment is being given to those in IS technical roles related to Azure. Registering for a course will not necessarily guarantee your place in a class.
Azure Fundamentals certification exam
Included with our training program are incentives from Microsoft for IS caregivers to be certified on the Azure products. As caregivers obtain certifications, Microsoft provides us with additional free training courses. If you have taken any of the Azure Training courses, we ask that you please complete the certification within one month of taking the course. If you need a voucher for the certification exam, please contact Kathy Wilson, service line manager.
Testing days
Please note that we have added onsite Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification exam testing days to the calendar for in Renton and Orangewood. Microsoft representatives will be onsite to facilitate and proctor the exam.
February 4 – Renton – See available times to register.
February 5 – Orangewood – See available times to register.
February 6 – Lloyd Center – See available times to register.
Note: You will need your laptop, your voucher code, and two forms of ID. One must be a government photo ID, i.e. driver’s license or passport.
Additional opportunities
We will be working with IS leadership to identify the Azure role-based certification courses appropriate for relevant IS caregivers. Additional Azure Fundamentals and Azure role-based certification courses will be available in 2020 and will be posted to the OneTeam training portal. There is also the option to take all of the Azure courses through Microsoft Learn to study at your own pace.
Please contact Kathy Wilson if you have any questions.
