Back-To-School Angels

Mission Hospital’s Project team is proud to contribute to the Back-To-School Angels Program, an initiative designed to support school-aged children from families facing financial difficulties. For over a decade, caregivers from both Mission Hospital Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach have participated in making back to school easier by providing essential supplies and clothing.

Mission Project Team

Ty Le from Community Health Investment spearheaded this effort, coordinating with various hospital departments to gather donations. On August 2, members of the Project team and Mission Trauma Department delivered to the Family Resource Center in San Juan Capistrano. South Orange County School District schools, including Capistrano Unified, Laguna Beach Unified, and Saddleback Valley Unified, benefited from this program. Hundreds of gifts were purchased this year by caregivers across 39 departments. The project team specifically supported six children aged 5 to 14. Karrie Osibov (Workstreams Lead) and Irelly Seremet (Project Coordinator) were responsible for collecting items from the project team and coordinating their delivery. In line with our commitment to aiding the poor and vulnerable, Providence Mission Hospital donated to 117 Angels from South Orange County, ensuring they start their school year with the necessary support and love. The Providence Promise is to ease the way for the most vulnerable members of our community.
