On November 2nd PAMC Security received a phone call from a distraught mother stating her adult daughter was in the Emergency Parking lot and had taken a possible lethal dose of medications. Security Officers Hughes, Benton, Pherson and Felix responded to our parking area to look for the individual’s vehicle reported to be a Silver Subaru. While searching for the vehicle, they observed an adult female behind the wheel of a silver Suburban and approached the vehicle. Upon contacting the person, officers determined she was the person whom they were trying to locate. They immediately called EMS to help the person. While waiting for EMS’ arrival Officer Hughes was able to convince the woman to turn over the bottles of medication she consumed and seek medical care. Officers assisted her from the car to a wheelchair. Officers escorted her to the Emergency Department to obtain treatment prior to EMS arriving on site. While in the Emergency Department waiting room, officers stood by with the individual until the care team was able to provide care. ~ Andrew Meyer – security supervisor
