ICYMI: October 18 Hybrid Open Forum Highlights and Recording

Over 1,700 caregivers joined virtually and nearly 150 caregivers from Texas and New Mexico gathered in Lubbock for the October Hybrid Open Forum.

October’s Open Forum Highlights:

  • BJ thanked our Texas and New Mexico caregivers for joining in person and shared a bit about his experience touring with our EVS team that morning.
  • Mike Siwek, exec. director real estate operations, provided a reflection highlighting lesser-known facts of the Covenant Mission heritage dating back to 1918.
  • A few other highlights from BJ:
    • Acknowledgement of the Israel-Hamas conflict and our commitment to caregivers who may be personally impacted.
    • Some members of the IS & RESO team were recently impacted by transitions in the business to right-size and organize more effectively.
    • Providence made a big impact at the Oracle Cloud World Conference. Frances Chao, our HR partners, and BJ participated as speakers.
    • BJ also spoke at the Becker’s Healthcare Conference in Chicago on the future of digital health.
    • This is the last day to complete the Caregiver Experience Survey. Your voice matters!
  • The Year of Human Connection continues with one more Hybrid Open Forum in 2023 and ongoing virtual roundtables.
  • Congratulations to our Q3 SMIle Award winners–EBA Genesis payroll fix team and Mike Stein, facilities manager at Swedish First Hill.
  • Q3 and early Q4 40- and 45-year caregiver milestones were celebrated.
  • Two big RESO recognition weeks occur in October—Healthcare Security & Safety and Healthcare Facilities & Engineering Professionals Week. Thank you to our caregivers!
  • Elizabeth Petrich Kennedy, CNIO/AVP, Clinical Informatics, Daniel Hronek, CNO, Covenant Main, and Wes Odneal, sr. principal engineering program manager, share the Texas Co-caring Pilot and early outcomes.
  • Mike Denney, RESO GVP, Andrew Haslam, Central Division chief real estate officer, and Mike Siwek discussed their cost-savings tracker and shared several photos of the new, state-of-the-art Hope Tower in Lubbock.
  • Chad Ranes, exec. director of IS Security Engineering, reminded caregivers that it’s Cybersecurity Month, with a few good tips for keeping information safe.
