Thank you for the ongoing support of RESO Excellence in this newsletter. We would like to the trial of an expansion of information we are gathering.
The 2022 RESO annual Caregiver Experience Survey, indicated that 55% of our Caregivers acknowledged significant action had been taken as a result of previous surveys. We would like to increase the sentiment. In response, we would like to expand the RESO Easy Button to include an Employee Experience option.
If an individual selects the Employee Experience path in the survey, they will be promoted to questions and free text areas where one might share experience as a Providence RESO caregiver. The collected responses will be considered by RESO leadership for continual improvement and sharing successes across RESO.
RESO Excellence remains your opportunity to acknowledge your peers for displaying our Core Value of Excellence. Every RESO Update, these nominations will be shared across the organization.
Rosalinda Richardson, environmental services technician– Kadlec Regional Medical Center– Richland, Washington
Rosalinda is a EVS technician here at Kadlec medical center. I know I speak for my team when I tell you there is no one like Rosalinda. She is not only one of the most hardworking caregivers we have but she is so kind and humble. She greets literally everyone. Patients, visitors, employees, everyone gets the best version of Rosalinda possible. She has a way of making you feel like you are the only person in her presence. Since she has started her with us, I don’t think I have seen her and not been asked how I was or how my day was. Its genuine too, not a hi, how are you in passing but genuinely interested in your day. She makes time for everyone that comes in her path to feel loved, and her attitude is contagious, and I am so grateful to have her on my team. ~ Kimberly Beckner – supervisor environmental services
Monique Gorman, environmental services technician – Covenant Children’s Hospital-Lubbock, TX
Norma Bustamante, environmental services technician – Covenant Children’s Hospital-Lubbock, TX
Jennifer Riojas-Guerrero, senior manager environmental services – Covenant Children’s Hospital-Lubbock, TX
Monique, Norma, and Jennifer were all recognized as Culture 99 recipients at Covenant Children’s hospital. Their nomination for the great care they provided to patients. These members of the EVS team are amazing! We had a situation on the Mom Baby unit that resulted in no hot water for majority of the unit. We had 2 rooms in our central hallway that did. We would need to take our moms to those rooms to shower. I reached out to Jennifer Riojas-Guerrero and she immediately sprang into action! She gathered her team and explained that we would need a quick turnaround on those rooms after each mom showered, in order to get them all through. Jennifer Dacey, Monique, and Norma made it happen! All the precious moms were able to have a nice warm shower because of their efforts! We appreciate them all greatly! ~ Kelly Flippen – senior director environment of care
Maria Pasciuto, associate construction project manager – Providence Administrative Offices – Torrance, CA
Maria recently delivered an outpatient Timeshare space in Torrance (20911 Earl Street, Suite 300) with a limited budget and an extremely short timeline. I want to recognize her effort and ingenuity in collecting and collaborating with the caregivers to reuse furniture from previously decommissioned suites that had not been used for long. This effort allowed for the project to come in under budget, on time and met some of the Environmental Stewardship goals for the system to reduce waste and reuse materials and deliver a space that drew rave reviews from the doctor and the leadership group at Little Company of Mary Torrance. Great job Maria. ~ Greg Bergman – senior manager design construction
