The newly renovated Sisters of Providence provincial administration space at Valley Office Park in Renton, Washington was recently renovated to meet the changing needs of their team.
The RESO project, led by Rachel Jenner, Senior Director of Planning & Design, had the goal of creating a new space that is a modern reflection of the Sisters mission, values, and workstyle. Construction of the space, led by Christina Millan, Construction Project Manager, took 18 weeks and renovated about 8,000 sq. ft. of office space that includes spaces to work independently, gather as a group, honor their history, and celebrate their mission.

A few highlights include a Legacy room that houses a rotating display of archive material to showcase stories of their legacy, and a vibrant, colorful staff break room, affectionately named “the happy place”.

Over 100 sisters, many who traveled internationally, joined the blessing ceremony and ribbon cutting on July 31. The sisters were very appreciative of RESO and the team’s commitment to hearing their needs and turning the offices into a space they feel a connection to. This was a special project and opportunity for the RESO team to connect with the founders of the organization and remind us why we do what we do.
The ceremony timed with the annual chapter meeting of the Sisters of Providence and was attended by about 100 sisters, many of whom traveled internationally for the event.
