Jennifer Riojas-Guerrero, senior evs manager – Covenant Children’s Hospital – Lubbock, Texas
Jennifer and the EVS team at Covenant Children’s responded to a need for more consistent cleaning of the NICU warmers, which were previously the responsibility of the NICU department. Jennifer worked with the NICU team to get her staff trained on cleaning the warmers and established a timeline for the transition, which was to be May 8. However, a flood issue in the NICU prompted the need to escalate that timeline. Jennifer and the EVS team were able to mobilize in a matter of days to take over the cleaning on May 2. ~ Kelly Flippen – senior director environment of care

Julie and I come to work every day and work with the most wonderful people at Providence Center. Julie, and I continue to work hard for providence. Julie, and I work double shifts to help housekeeping and make an effort to keep the hospital running. Many people might ask why we work so much? Our answer is that we are a family at Providence, when someone needs help, we are here for them. We help those who may be lost, we help those who are maybe having a hard time, we help those in different departments who maybe need help finding things.
