Thank you to the over 2,000 caregivers who joined our September 20 IS & RESO Open Forum and for your questions during Q&A. With the recent organizational changes within IS, I appreciate the opportunity for open, transparent discussion. I know there are still questions remaining as we continue to refine new alignment structures, so thank you for your patience as we continue to fine tune.
In the midst of changes, and ongoing challenges that we’ve faced in recent months and weeks, the work IS & RESO teams do every day is even more critical to move Providence forward, serve our Mission, and benefit our communities.
Congratulations to RESO and Central Division, and to the IS teams involved in the opening of Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital in New Mexico. It is so critical for residents in this region of Central and represents years of strategic planning, followed by a complex construction process. I know this was a very challenging project both for RESO and IS, and I want to thank all the caregivers involved in the effort to ensure availability of care to the local community.
Also, I want to extend our enormous thank you to our RESO Environmental Services caregivers who do so much day in and day out to keep our ministries clean, sanitized, and available to our patients and clinical staff. Mike Denney and RESO honored these caregivers September 11-17 during their annual recognition week. Providence will also join the health care sector in honoring its facilities and engineering caregivers toward the end of this month. We’ll share a bit more in November about the contributions of these incredibly dedicated teams that protect our investments and ensure a safe, efficient environment for patients, caregivers, and visitors across all our ministries. Thank you EVS and facilities teams for all you do!
One more inspiring bit of recognition is for our Individual and Team IS & RESO Q3 SMIle Award winners and finalists. Every quarter, I really enjoy reviewing all the peer nominations and reading about the incredible projects that support our IS & RESO priorities of Simplify, Modernize & Innovate, and all the excellence those nominations represent. Please check out the winners and be sure to congratulate them!
Finally, more importantly than ever in these challenging times, we want to ensure you take time to give me and our leadership valuable feedback by taking part in the 2022 Caregiver Experience Survey, which opens today, and remains open through October 19. (PGC Caregiver Experience Survey runs Oct. 12-31.)
We’ll gather again for IS & RESO Open Forum on October 20 with more details to share, and some inspiring updates and recognition. Thanks for all you do!
