Recognizing RESO Excellence – Sept. 30

Dionte Jull, security officer – Seattle – Swedish (Cherry Hill)

Heather Grosz, security officer – Seattle – Swedish (Cherry Hill)
On September 22 at approximately 4:46PM, Security Officer Heather Grosz was walking to the security office when she saw an elderly patient that was previously discharged, laying on the ground in a puddle of blood located near the security office and the vending machine area. When Security Officer Heather Grosz approached the patient, she began Emergency First Aid while applying pressure to the back of the patient’s head to stop the bleeding, while yelling for assistance. Once all personnel were on scene to help assist, medical staff took over care. Security Officer Heather Grosz quickly grabbed the Code Jack cart so the patient can be lifted up safely with the Hoover Matt, and be transported to the Emergency Department for further medical evaluation. I would like to commend everyone for their quick response to this patient and being able to work together as we team in providing the necessary care due this incident/accident. ~ Jeremie D. Trujillo

Covenant Hobbs Health Hospital (CCHP) Go-Live

Wow, what a team! This group of caregivers has been supporting the new Hobbs Hospital Go-Live for the last few weeks. They have had many nights of very little sleep and long hours of coordination. Special Thanks to Jennifer Riojas-Guerrero (EVS Manager Children’s Hospital) for filling in for Kelly (OOO unexpectedly) on site for the week of move and ramp up. The Move-in was successful on 9/28, despite having to navigate several challenges during the process. They even mitigated a City Power loss issue (activated Generator Power for several hours) and landed a helicopter successfully on Day 1! I couldn’t be more proud and appreciative of this team. Great work! ~ Michael Siwek, exec. director, TX/NM

Michael Washburn, utility technician – Providence St. Peter Hospital
On a number of occasions Michael has gone above and beyond to help troubleshoot or rectify situations. Most recently with a portable CT mobile unit. The test of one’s character is to ask what does it take to stop you and Michael navigates this well, knowing mission priorities. ~ Clay Ciolek

Steven Conway, senior facilities technician – Providence St. Peter Hospital
Steve has announced his retirement after more than 31 years of service. Your steady hand to the work will be missed and we wish that your best days are still ahead. ~ Clay Ciolek

Daniel Dempster, construction project manager – Heritage Sites
Daniel has gone above and beyond to get work we needed from SCE scheduled and on track for our Irvine Heritage site. Going into this site, we found out early on we didn’t have the necessary power required and would need SCE to perform new transformer work. If anyone has had to deal with SCE, you know that you rarely get in touch with a real person, they won’t confirm anything and everything is up in the air till the last second. Daniel literally called them daily, sometimes more, to get straight answers and commitments to dates. This past weekend, SCE performed the cutover which was the first major step in this process. There is still work to do but I want to recognize Daniel for his borderline stalker behavior to get this work started so that we can meet our dates. ~ Betty Wei

Thuan Le, RESO rotation analysist – RESO – Data and Analytics Team
Thuan is awesome! I was struggling with a SQL query and he came to my rescue! He researched the best way to approach the query, and in less than a day, it was running without errors. Thuan – I appreciate your willingness to jump in and give it a shot. Thank you – you saved me A LOT of time. ~ Nancy Carl
